Remembering Alfred Gilman (1941-2015)

We were saddened by the loss of Alfred Goodman Gilman, who passed away on December 23, 2015. Dr. Gilman was a distinguished faculty member from our department who pioneered our understanding of the biochemical mechanisms that drive signal transduction and he won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1994 for his role in the discovery of G-proteins.
